Smithsonian Institution, Washington DC, USA

Hello friends!!

Another gorgeous card from the States! Thank you Lisa!

The red sandstone Smithsonian Institution Building, with its light crenelated towers, symbolizes the entire Istitution to many visitors. Populary known as “the Castle”, this building housed all the Smithsonian’s operations when it opened in 1889. Today, it houses the Smithsonian Institution Center. This photo was taken during the Smithsonian’s 150th birthday party, August 10, 1996.

The Smithsonian offers many wonderful (and free) museums in the heart of Washington D.C. (quote from Lisa)

I like this card, and I like the idea of the free museums. I love visiting good museums, and I heard the Smithsonian museums are just great. Do you like museums? Which is your favorite? I like the Picasso-Museum in Barcelona 🙂

I send love!
