A nice card I received via postcardunited from Praveen! Thank you very much!

The esraj is a string instrument found in two forms throughout the north, central, and east regions of India. It is a young instrument by Indian terms, being only about 200 years old. The dilruba is found in the north, where it is used in religious music and light classical songs in the urban areas. Its name is translated as “robber of the heart.”

Nice card!

Renju from India stepped by my blog and we managed to swap cards. This is what he sent me from his beautiful country. Or as the indians say, from gods own country.
This scenery was taken in Kerala in southwestern India. The most popular tourist destination, as Renju tells me.
We also have some deers in Germany, but I have never seen so many in just one place. I like the card very much!
Thanks a lot Renju 🙂

Today I got some wonderful postcards in my mailbox! Among them was this stunning postcard from India! Thank you very much Ankita!

The Taj Mahal is one of the most beautiful buildings in the world. Don’t you think? I just love it!
I also like the butterfly. You see the hindiword net to the word Butterfly? “तितली” means butterfly in Hindi. So cool youcan learn something even from a stamp ^^

Taj Mahal, India

नमस्कार मित्रो!

I wanted to swap for a card ith the Taj Mahal, because I think it is so beautiful. So I swapped with Regina, and guess what! She did send me 2 cards! Thank you very, very much Regina! I think they are both gorgeous, but the first one I think is a bit more beautiful. Waht do you think?

The Taj Mahal  is a white marble mausoleum located in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj Mahal is widely recognized as “the jewel of Muslim art in India and one of the universally admired masterpieces of the world’s heritage”.

Taj Mahal is regarded by many as the finest example of Mughal architecture, a style that combines elements from Persian, Ottoman Turkish and Indianarchitectural styles.

In 1983, the Taj Mahal became a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Thar desert, India

नमस्कार मित्रो!

Here it goes – another great card from India! Thank you very very much Amit!

India, has a big desert in its western arm – Thar desert. Been there, the most amazing part of India – full of costumes, dances, “desert-ship” =camel; so many palaces, the yummiest food and the simplest and wormest place.

It really looks amazing! Sometimes I wish I could see these beautiful places all over the world. At least these postcards are giving me an impression how it might be like..
