Dia duit cairde!

Another great card from Ireland reached me through postcrossing! Thank you Rachel 😀

Westport is a town in County Mayo in Ireland. It is at the south-east corner of Clew Bay, an inlet of the Atlantic Ocean on the west coast of Ireland.

Looks really idyllic, doesn’t it?

Did you know?
According to the Irish birthday traditions, people hold the birthday child upside down and bump the head slightly on the floor. The bumps correspond to the age of the child. It is believed that this tradition brings good luck.

I received this, who would believe it – my first card written and stamped from Ireland, via postcardunited from a lovely lady named Dina! Thank you very much! These redheaded children look so sterotypical for Ireland 😀

Ireland, also known as the Republic of Ireland, is a sovereign state in north-western Europe occupying about five-sixths of the island of Ireland. The capital and largest city is Dublin, which is located on the eastern part of the island, and whose metropolitan area is home to around a third of the country’s 4.6 million inhabitants. The state shares its only land border with Northern Ireland, a part of the United Kingdom.

Did you know? Only 9% of the Irish population are natural redheads.

Fiiinally! I fought so hard in this battle for an irish card! You would not believe how hard it was to get one of these lovely irish cards! But it was really worth waiting, don’t you think? This card is gorgeous!

I love these donkeys, they are so cute! If I would be reborn as an animal, I want to become a donkey ♥♥ They have their own will and sometimes they are just as stubbin as I am! Thank you Snježana!
