Hello friends!

Just so you know – I have had the hardest time frinding a translation for hello friends in the language of the Maldives. So..If you are from the Maldives, or if you know how to say “Hello friends” in dhivehi – please leave a comment!!

This is a wonderful card I received from the vacations of Diana! Thank you soo much! I love the card!

Maldives, is an island nation in the Indian Ocean–Arabian Sea area, consisting of a double chain of twenty-six atolls, oriented north-south, that lie between Minicoy Island (the southernmost part of Lakshadweep, India) and the Chagos Archipelago. The chains stand in the Laccadive Sea, and the capital, Malé, is about 600 kilometres (370 mi) south-west of India and 750 kilometres (470 mi) south-west of Sri Lanka.

Did you know?

Divorce is high in the Maldives – strangely enough, the Maldives has the highest divorce rate in the world. The current rate of divorce is 10.97 divorces per 1,000 marriages. One of the reasons for this could be that a marriage can be easily terminated, simply by the verbal pronouncement of the husband.

I send love!
