Budva, Montenegro

Zdravo, prijateli!

This is actually my first written and stamped card from Montenegro, so this is a really extra special card! Thank you so much Apirak, you are awesome to send me all these great cards, I really appreciate it big time!

Budva is a Montenegrin town on the Adriatic Sea. It has around 14,000 inhabitants, and it is the centre of Budva Municipality. The coastal area around Budva, called the Budva riviera, is the center of Montenegrin tourism, known for its well preserved medieval walled city, sandy beaches and diverse nightlife. Budva is 2,500 years old, which makes it one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic coast.

Did you know?

Montenegro uses the Euro, but it’s kinda not supposed to. After it split from Serbia it adopted the Deutsche Mark (former german currency) but when the Euro was introduced it switched to that. Nobody seemed to mind at first, and then there was a brief “hey, what do you think you’re doing” moment, but now Montenegro’s a candidate to join the EU so all will most likely be forgiven.

I send love!

Perast, Montenegro

Zdravo, prijateli!

I got my first postcard from Montenegro! Thank you so much Snježana!

On this card you can see the little village Perast in the southwest of Montenegro.

It is a really small spot in, but apparently it is the village with the most sunny hours in Montenegro. So, it is definetly a great home.

I send love!
