Moscow, Russia

Здравствуйте, друзья!

I received this card from Alla via postcardhub! Thanks a lot Alla, what a beautiful card! I am actually reading a book at the moment that takes place in Moskov. It is called Metro 2033, a Sci-Fi-Book and it just starts to get interesting 😀

Moscow is the capital and the largest city of Russia with 12.2 million residents within the city limits and 16.8 million within the urban area. Moscow is one of three federal cities in Russia (the others are Saint Petersburg and Sevastopol, although the status of the latter is disputed due to the annexation of Crimea by Russia).

Did you know?

The Kremlin, as we know it, was built by the Italians. When in the XV century its walls and temples got seriously dilapidated and needed repair, the Russian architects were unable to cope with this problem. So the Grand Duke Ivan III invited foreign experts to Moscow, under the leadership of which were built new temples and walls.

Здравствуйте, друзья!

Great card I got from Tata via official postcrossing!

Thank you very much!
This is really impressing! Almost all big cities are in the west of the country. Siberia is almost empty.. Strange somehow ^^

Здравствуйте, друзья!

It has been a little while since I got a card from Russia lovely enough to make it on my blog! And this card is just awesome! Thank you Anna!

The russian churches are the most beautiful churches I have ever seen! They are so colourfull! I bet russian children are more willing to go to church as the german ones. ^^

This particular church is located in Moskow, the capital of Russia and it is called Cathedral of St Basil the Blessed. I also think the names of russian churches are so much prettier! Awww. I want to go to Russia and just look at every church there is ♥

A nice card I got from Russia! Thank you Christina!

Christina writes, that Saint-Petersburg is also called “the North Venice”,because it has a lot rivers, channels and bridges as the original Venice has.
Nice!
