Pozdravljeni prijatelji!

I received this beauty via postcrossing from Doty! Thank you a lot!

The Julian Alps are a mountain range of the Southern Limestone Alps that stretch from northeastern Italy to Slovenia, where they rise to 2,864 m at Mount Triglav, the highest peak in Slovenia and of the former Yugoslavia. They are named after Julius Caesar, who founded the municipium of Cividale del Friuli at the foot of the mountains. A large part of the Julian Alps is included in Triglav National Park. The second highest peak of the range, the 2,775 m high Jôf di Montasio, lies in Italy.

Did you know?

The slovenian capital, Ljubljana, translates to “the loved one”.

This postcard shows some very fampus tourist destinations in Slovenia.

I like this card and I am starting to adore Slovenia! It is such a nice country!
To be honest- Slovenia was never a country I liked very much. But I think this was only because I had no idea of this country, and now – just because I started to collect postcards, I learnd of so many beautiful countries I never thought they were so beautiful. I am so glad and thankful, all these people wanted to share their homes and countries with me. I hope you can appreaciate every single card as much as I do.

This postcard shows a lot of nice pictures from places in Slovenia. Seems to be a very beautiful country. I see that pictures of lakes, rivers, the sea and castles are dominating these pictures.
