Salut mes amis!

I was a little lazy with updating my blog recently, forgive me – I am still here 😉

I received this card from Roshan in Mauritius 😀 So beautiful, thanks a lot Roshan ♥

Mauritius lies in the Indian Ocean east of Madagascar. The volcanic main island of Mauritius is ringed by coral reefs; there are some 20 smaller islands. The islands were ruled in turn by the Dutch, French, and British, whose legacy includes a parliamentary form of government. Independence came in 1968. Diversifying sugarcane farming with manufacturing and tourism strengthens the nation, a blend of Africans, Indians, Europeans, and Chinese.

The Dodo, which is the national bird of auritius, is an extinct species of a flightless bird, which was a resident of this island, centuries ago. Dodos were found only on this island and nowhere else in the world.

Senegal, is a country in West Africa. It is the westernmost country in the mainland of the Old World or Eurafrasia and owes its name to the Sénégal River that borders it to the east and north. Senegal covers a land area of almost 197,000 square kilometres, and has an estimated population of about 13 million. The climate is tropical and alternates between a dry season and rainy season. Senegal’s capital and largest city is Dakar.

Hello there friends! Bouônjour!

It has been a while since my last post, but here I am back with this beautiful and special card from the tiny Channel island Jersey! Thank you so much Mel!!

Funny story. I contacted Mel for a private swap and she just got the adress of my mother from the official postcrossing! What were the odds?! This was really weird and yet cool somehow 😀

The island of Jersey is the largest of the Channel Islands. It is very close to the french coast and because of that french is also widely spoken on Jersey. Also, it has a an own regional language called Jèrrias.
